“Music has been around me since I was a little child. My parents would put on music in the car and I would start singing and dancing to it. I joined a choir and performed in a marching and concert band throughout my grade school and high school years. But it wasn’t until 2011 when music really changed my whole life. I attended my first concert with my two older brothers. Tiesto was the headliner at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. I was so amazed by the scenery: the music, the lighting, the energy, and the smiles on everyone’s faces. That concert made my whole entire night. Days after, I started browsing and listening to more and more electronic music that I was really enjoying and I began to play around with Garageband on a Macbook Pro. That was when I knew what I wanted to do. Like all performing artists, I want to be part of the scene, perform on stage, and put smiles on everyone’s faces through music. I chose to become a DJ and an electronic music producer under the name “Acer Vantes”
"In 2015, I made my DJ debut at a Kansas City music festival called Dancefestopia, which also featured more than 50 artists such as Datsik, Porter Robinson, Bassnectar, and many more. I’ll be honest, I was very nervous at the time, considering it was my first performance, but everything turned out pretty great and I had an amazing time! I included all my original tracks and remixes that I’ve produced over the years and it sounded great. After the festival, I’ve continued to produce more music, received more opportunities to perform in Kansas/Missouri venues, gained more fans and followers on social media, and become a supporting artist for big-name DJs like Jauz, Aryay, Duelle, and Galantis. Speaking of Galantis, this is probably one of the proudest moments I ever lived for. Not only was I a supporting artist for Galantis, but at the same night I got to perform at the same stage I saw Tiesto perform back in 2011 (Uptown Theater, KC). I was so happy, blessed, and honored to have that moment and still to this day, I wish I could go back. Of course, none of this would happen if it weren’t for the people I’ve worked with and the love and support I get from my families, friends, and amazing fans. With that in mind, I am beyond grateful and happy to be part of the music scene.”
